Get started - Sign up for a Solar ecoENERGY Home Assessment Please note: The federal government has announced that incentives will no longer be available for anyone undertaking an ecoEnergy audit after April 1, 2010. Those who have had an initial audit before April 1st but have not completed a final assessment will still be eligible for all existing incentives, including for solar hot water heating. Anyone undetaking an audit after March 31st will be eligible for the Ontario Home Energy Savings program incentives only, which are also distributed through the ecoEnergy program. You must complete the ecoENERGY home assessment to qualify for federal and provincial incentives. Cost of the initial assessment is $225 after the $150 provincial rebate. But remember, this is the first step in qualifying to access $2,500 in ecoENERGY related incentives for a solar hot water system plus significant additional rebates to help support other home energy efficiency actions.
There is no obligation to install a solar system — this assessment is simply a tool to help you decide if solar is right for you and to identify other ways to reduce your utility bills. |
