Sign up for a Home Energy Assessment and get a festive bonus!

A festive bonusThe holidays bring seasonal cheer, good tidings and, for many of us, too many bills.  Now you can take advantage of our festive offer to lower your home energy use and utility bills – the gift that keeps on giving.  Residents of Ward 30 can now get a combined home energy and solar assessment for just $225 (after provincial rebate) — $100 off the regular cost.  When you consider that this ecoENERGY residential energy assessment qualifies you for valuable rebates on home energy upgrades and up to $2,000 in incentives for a solar hot water system, this is a gift that should be on everyone’s list.

To make it even sweeter, we are also including a useful bundle of energy-saving devices, including a water-saving kit, compact fluorescents and motion sensor light switches, for any Ward 30 residents who schedules an EcoEnergy assessment before Jan. 30, 2009.  It sure beats another scarf.

Register now at www.solarneighbourhoods.ca/step4.php or call the Solar Info Line at 416-392-6795.  After you register, you will be contacted by our assessment partner, Windfall Ecology Centre, to schedule the home visit. Visit Windfall’s website for more information on the ecoENERGY residential program – www.windfallcentre.ca/goto/solar

We make it easy

Solar Neighbourhoods EligibleSolar Neighbourhoods has taken a lot of the legwork out of getting a solar hot water system installed on your home.  We have been working extensively with City departments to address building code issues and to streamline the system installation process.  We have also pre-approved a number of contractors and systems for participation in the Solar Neighbourhoods program.  Look for the Solar Neighbourhoods Eligible logo on contractor materials or view our approved system list at www.solarneighbourhoods.ca/suppliers.php.  By the way, these contractors are also experts in water conservation and can help you save both water and energy.

SOLAR NEIGHBOURHOODS wants to help you reduce your home’s energy use and tap the power of the sun. We will guide qualifying homeowners in Ward 30 through the purchase and installation of a solar water heating system and help you access to up to $2,000 in cash incentives. Solar hot water is a well-developed zero-emissions renewable energy technology that is in wide use around the world. Now, Solar Neighbourhoods is working to make it part of life right here in Toronto.
