Splash into solar at our Solar Pool Party at Canada's largest solar heated pool!

Solar Pool Party - Sept. 20thCome out to the Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre (870 Queen St. E, see map below) on Saturday, Sept. 20th for a day of fun and learning about solar energy. There will be informative workshops, tours of neighbourhood solar installations, product exhibits and lots of kids activities, including solar ice cream making, solar car races and pool games. All events are free.

Things get underway at 10 a.m. and run until 2 p.m. with free refreshments and a BBQ to keep your energy up. This is a great chance to explore what solar can do for you and your community. Everyone is welcome.

Tours

Go on a guided tour of solar installations around Riverdale. From businesses to city facilities to homeowners, the neighbourhood is going solar. Tours start at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Meet in the lobby of the Recreation Centre (please arrive 10 minutes before the tour starts). Click here to pre-register for a tour.
